These wines have scooped some major world wide awards and are know for its unique blend of autochtonous and modern expressions pushing the boundaries of wine cultures and delivering wines that are seamless in taste and very much ahead of the current wine trends.
The hotel’s wine-tasting experiences allow guests to savor these wines in the very place where they were created, making the connection between the land and the glass tangible. The history behind the Emporia Winery only adds to the allure. Wine production in the region dates back centuries, and the estate carries forward this tradition with a modern flair.
The first wine station and wine school in the region were established in 1866, during the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria. The estate’s vineyards, known as the Imperial Vineyards, continue to produce highest-quality wines, combining centuries-old techniques with modern technology. This rich historical background gives each glass of wine a story.
A must try are Emporia cuvees namely Deep Red and White Mist as well as creative twists on local wine varieties specific to this region.
Tour of the winery, wine tasting sessions,visit to archive tunnel with wine aging in anforas, concrete egs and toasted wood, walking, quad or golf car ride through the vineyards is an absoulte must do.
